Some other helpful notes from the Parliament website recently, written in plain English non-legalese:
- How individuals can take a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights - how individuals who've (or whose close relative has) suffered from the violation complained of may take a complaint directly to the European Court of Human Rights about an alleged breach by a public authority (such as a Government department, local authority or court) of the European Convention of Human Rights, where all domestic remedies have been exhausted.
- How to complain to the Court of Justice of the European Union - how individuals who believe they are victims of a government’s failure to respect an EU obligation, or that they have been negatively affected by an EU act or a failure to act, can seek judicial and non-judicial remedies.
